On September 7, Girl group Matilda‘s members Semmi and Dan-A revealed that they have departure from their agency – Box Media Entertainment.
Both posted the news on their Instagram and thanked everyone for their love and support.
“Hello, this is Semmi.
With heavy heart, I would like to greet all of you who has been waiting for us with unfortunate news.
After having long conversation with the agency, we came with conclusion to end the contract. My fellow [Matilda] members will all be supporting each other on the paths we each take and will walk together as always.
For the past three years, I experienced different things through the agency, I am happy and thankful for that.
I am thankful and sorry to our fans who always stayed by our side through different difficulties.
I will grow and improve, and I will be back. Please support me and my members in our future activities, and I would be thankful if you looked upon us kindly.“
“Hello, this is Park Seung-yeon.
I ended my contract with Boxmedia after years of hard work with Matilda members and the company. For those of you who have waited for Matilda’s news, it’s very sudden and very sorry, but it’s a decision made carefully for each other.
Thank you so much for all of your support and love for Matilda, and thank you for your efforts to meet and help Matilda.
The four of us have their own way, but they are still very precious and dear friends and sisters. We will remain as a team and we will be with each other for the rest of our lives. Haena, Seung-yeon and Hee Sun, I would appreciate it if you could watch and support me in the future. See you soon with a better look!
Matilda made their debut in March 2016 as a four-member group with their single “Macarena.”
