BTS Wins 2020 UNICEF Inspire Award For Their “Love Myself” Campaign

BTS has received 2020 UNICEF inspire award for their “Love Myself” campaign.

On June 22, UNICEF announced that BTS has been awarded with an Inspire Award for their “Love Myself” campaign. The group won the award in the Integrated Campaigns and Events category.

The Inspire Awards is awarded to an UNICEF campaigns, which had most influence all over the world over the past year. For this year, 100 campaigns from 50 countries were considered for 18 categories. The winners were selected by a combination of online votes, voted by UNICEF employees from different countries. Panel of judges all also evaluated the campaigns.

In November, 2017, BTS and Big Hit Entertainment signed an agreement with UNICEF Global’s #EndViolence campaign, which commits to end the violence against children and youth. The “Love Myself” campaign was established with the message, “Love yourself to be able to spread true love to others”. 

BTS’ message has managed to comfort many children, and youth from all over the world. Their activities has also deeply impressed and inspired many children and youth worldwide.

The secretary general of UNICEF Korea, Lee Ki Cheol, said, “BTS’ message ‘love yourself in order to be able to love others’ is making a positive transformation all over the world. I believe this award is the result of BTS’ positive influence since they are giving courage and comfort to children and youth across the world.”
