BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” Debuts At No. 2 On Billboard 200

BLACKPINK makes a new Billboard history with their full-length album.

On October 11, Billboard announced that BLACKPINK‘s full album “The Album” has ranked No. 2 on Billboard 200.

Billboard 200 is the weekly record chart ranking of the most popular music albums and EP in the United States.

BLACKPINK has made a Billboard history by achieving the highest ranking of any female K-pop group in history. The group has also become the second girl group to reach the highest chart ranking on Billboard 200. Danity Kane were the first girl group to achieve the highest ranking on the chart, who ranked No. 1 with “Welcome to the Dollhouse” in 2008.

“The Album” is also the highest charting debut full album by a girl group since Danity Kane’s first studio album ranked No. 1 in 2006.
