BLACKPINK’s Lisa Scammed By Former Manager

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has been scammed by her former manager.

According to report by Market News on June 2, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa was scammed approximately 1 billion KRW (~ 800,000 USD) by her former manager “A”.


Manager “A” reportedly asked 1 billion KRW to invest in real estate for Lisa. After receiving the money from Lisa, he spent all money in gambling and lost the money.

Market News reported that the Manager “A” has been with BLACKPINK since their debut, and was trusted by Lisa. Many people are surprised from this incident, since the manager was well trusted by everyone in the agency. According to the report, Lisa is currently struggling with fear, anxiety, and betrayal.

A source said, “Lisa is a foreign members and has been alone in Korea since her childhood so she is very vulnerable to these things. It is very unfortunate that these things is happening in the industry. This is serious situation which can damage the Korean management image.”

Following the report, YG Entertainment confirmed the news and released an official statement regarding the incident.

“After investing the incident, we confirmed that Lisa was scammed by former manager “A”.

According to Lisa’s wishes to settle this smoothly, as the former manager was someone Lisa had trusted. Manager “A” has repaid a part of the sum and agreed on a reimbursement plan for the rest of the sum. “A” has left the company.

We bow our heads and apologize for causing concern to the fans who love our artist. We are embarrassed by the misconduct of “A,” who took ill advantage of artist’s trust.

We are feeling responsible for the management and supervision. We are taking preventive measures so that this does not happen again.”
